Abstrakt

New Flavone Glycoside from Cassia Tora Linn.

A new flavone glycoside A, m.p. 208-210oC, m.f. C33H40O19 [M]+ 740 (FABMS), has been isolated from ethanolic extract of the seeds of Cassia tora Linn. It was characterized as 5,7,3’- trihydroxy-4’-methoxyflavone-7-O--L-rhamnopyranosyl-(13)-O--D-glucopyranosyl-(14)–O-- D-xylopyranoside by various chemical degradations and spectral analysis
