Abstrakt

A practical one-pot conversion of alcohols into homologous nitriles catalyzed by PEG 400 and sodium iodide

Alcohols were converted into nitriles by one-pot reactions with trimethylchlorosilane and sodium cyanide catalyzed by PEG400 and sodiumiodide in dichloromethane in excellent yields.
